The "What's the SCUIP" Photo Contest Exhibit was held at the Celtic Cafe on North Water St., New Bedford, May 9 as part of the "City View" AHA! Night. The two photo finalists in each of five categories, Education, Health, Housing, the Economy, and Arts and Culture were on display, and more than 65 visitors cast their votes for their overall favorite - stay tuned for news on the winners! The SouthCoast Urban Indicators Project, a project of the UMass Dartmouth Urban Initiative, launched the photo contest to get the “scoop” about Fall River and New Bedford. Photos will be used to illustrate and bring life to the data on its recently launched website. Visit the website at www.southcoastindicators.org for more information. The photo contest was made possible with the support of Leadership SouthCoast.
