Resource Library

The Community Foundation houses a Resource Library for area nonprofit organizations to find new resources and strengthen their organizations. If your nonprofit is located in one of the 41 towns and cities we serve, we invite you to make an appointment to learn more about this extensive information on funding sources and nonprofit management.

Through our library, we are pleased to offer the community access to Foundation Directory Online Professional, the Foundation Center’s online subscription directory of timely information on grantmakers and their grants. The directory includes a database of over 98,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S. It also features a database of nearly 3,600 sponsoring companies, offering access to information on corporate funders; a database of over 1.6 million recently awarded grants; and a keyword searchable database of over 584,000 recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF.

Our research collection also includes current periodicals such as The Chronicle of Philanthropy, local periodicals and directories; resource volumes on such topics as nonprofit management, fundraising, grantwriting and marketing.

A Quick Internet Reference Guide for Non-profit Organizations

Advances in information technology tools are changing the way individuals access information and the way organizations operate, collaborate, and partner to accomplish mutual goals. The Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts has developed a compendium of Internet sites to provide information technology tools to increase strategically the capacity of non-profit services. The Internet sites listed here, although not comprehensive, offer a suite of information and services. We hope you find them beneficial.
